I have always embraced the idea of food as medicine. I briefly considered studying to be a Dietician in college. At that time, there was little emphasis on the healing properties of food, so I graduated instead with a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University.
I continued reading, studying and learning about nutrition throughout my life and developed a love of cooking healthy, nutritious meals. To me, a healthy, home-cooked meal is the best thing I can bring to a friend who is ill or having a family crisis. Some people send flowers, I bring food.
After serving as a chef’s assistant in a cooking school, I began working as a personal chef, tailoring meals to my clients’ individual health needs. Wanting more scientific information about healthy eating, I discovered the Nutritional Therapy Association® (NTA) and became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

NTA taught me the foundations of digestion, blood sugar handling, hydration, mineral balance, and fatty acid balance, which are critical to good health. I learned how to guide clients towards a properly prepared, nutrient dense diet that can restore good health and relieve many chronic symptoms.
Becoming a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner has enabled me to share my passion for helping others through healthy eating. It’s so rewarding to help clients take charge of their health, and hear firsthand how much better they feel.
"I also teach the RESTART ® program, a 5-week class to break the sugar habit and restore healthy food habits.
It’s a fun and easy way to begin a lifelong habit of healthy eating."

"I started this RESTART® Program as another way to lose weight...
I was shocked and pleased to discover that I could also drastically reduce my medication for diabetes.
I want to continue this for life."
